April 2015 Management Updates
In addition to the March 2015 updates the management is continuing on the path of making this resort better than before.
The furniture in the main lobby has been refurbished and the main lobby bathrooms are being repaired. They are looking into creating a separate check in for Spa section guests. So they will have 3 check-ins, one for the Villas, one for the Spa and one for the Park sections in order to quicken the process. The 18+ Chill Lounge located at night in the Spa section at the snack bar for those wishing to have a drink and relax without having kids run around, this is now up and running. Pathway lighting has been repaired or replaced, however several guests have reported to see either children or guests damaging them. The palapas on Megano that were recently destroyed by a storm are being replaced. New golf carts have been requested in order to increase the number of carts to take people around the resort.
In the Grand Village section, known as “the Villas”, all the roofs have been replaced as well as new soffit and facia installed. There is new furniture near the pool bar for evening relaxation. There is now a beach grill located at the Villas end of the beach that offers the Gourmet full lunch menu exclusively for Villa guests to eat lunch. It is open until 4 pm (for those that want a late lunch ;-). Loungers around the Villas pool have been repaired and painted white and new coverings are on order. There are now a couple of classic vehicles that are dedicated to drive Villa guests back and forth from the main lounge area. Reports from a couple of guests who have recently returned have all said the food is top notch.
The new Director General, José, has arrived. He has been there a couple of weeks now and we are looking forward to what “stamp” he will be putting on the place. Beatriz, the Villas Director, which was a newly appointed position a couple of months ago, has been doing a fabulous job and it is showing. Nothing but praise has been received about her from guests that have recently been there. She is certainly bringing up the standards of the Villas to be a true 5-star resort within a resort.
