Joaquin's damage

Hurricane Joaquin may have bypassed the Island of Cuba however its effects did not. The ocean is very rough causing destructive waves. It is red flagged on Cayo Ensenachos, a very rare occurrence!!! Many palapas that had been put up earlier this summer were knocked down and pulled out to sea. The tide water is very high on the beach reaching the sand bar located back from the beach. Even reaching the boardwalk on Megano where it slopes down to the beach. Even the volleyball area on Megano also has water on it. Sad to see the hard work put into getting new palapas installed only to be taken out by Mother Nature.

The good news is that the resort has the wood to rebuild. The bad is that they need to get workers to build them.
