Current and Upcoming Projects

The Park section pool repairs were completed in early October. The Park guests were temporarily allowed to use the Spa section pool during the renovations, however everything is back to normal and Park guests are no longer allowed to use the Spa section pool facilities.

The menus have changed at the Asian (Azia), Italian (Palazzo) and Gourmet in the Grand Village (El Colonial). The next menus that will be changed are the Snack restaurants Pelicano (Grand Village section), Megano (Spa section) and Marino (Park section). The International Restaurant will be changed to a Criollo restaurant with a completely new menu. The updated menus will be posted on the menu page of this website once they are made available.

Work on repairing and adding new palapas on Playa Megano is still ongoing. Both large 4 pole type and umbrella type are being installed and/or repaired.

There is plans to make an Ice Cream Parlour in the Park section near the swimming pool. Permission has been requested and the materials to start this project are supposed to arrive in November. So it is forecasted to be only in service in the New Year.

Another big project in the works is “Star Rock Café” in the previous “home theatre” room located next door to the disco. It will be an around the clock coffee shop serving sandwiches, pastries, coffee, etc. and will have entertainment such as darts, billiards, slot machine, music, etc. This is quite a big project that will take time but it will be a solution for those looking for entertainment and food around the clock.
